Hello skiers – Paul Bertler and I groomed today and boy was it a doozy – 5hrs instead of 2hrs – and getting stuck too many times to count.  This is why the ski areas use snow cats!  The trail isn’t perfect as it was hard to keep the snowmobile on the track in such deep, drifted snow, but by the end it was in pretty good shape and of course the snow itself is perfect.  We won’t be able to groom again until the weekend, and I’d like to get some skiing in myself Saturday so it may not be until Sunday.  Hopefully the drifting won’t be too bad and the trail will hold over the next few days.  Please remember to donate on this webpage to support gas + repairs as the snowmobile is a bit of a gas hog and we may need to replace the drive belt soon based on some noises and smells we encountered while grooming.  Thank you and happy skiing!  It is beautiful out there.  Send questions or comments to me at [email protected].
