Greenwood Park came into being when the city purchased its land from Ezra Day and William Forsberg in 1905. This park is about 15 acres, sizable open space, located right along Greenwood Street!

Greenwood Park serves the  Village neighborhood with its spray park, state of the art playground, basketball courts, tennis courts, ball field, and a football field. This park used to have a pool. In 1910 it was one few parks chosen to have a city playground.
