TRAIL CONDITIONS UPDATES

Hello skiers – as some of you are aware from recent emails, we are looking to upgrade our grooming tow vehicle to a mid-sized used snowcat in order to handle the bigger storms and get a smoother, harder packed surface for better ski conditions, particularly for skate skiers.  Grooming will take much less time, be physically easier and produce better results with a snow cat, avoiding the ruts left by our Gator UTV and potentially enabling daily grooming.  There is a perfect unit for sale in Maine and I am looking to raise $20k in pledges to purchase it and a storage container within the next 2-4 weeks.  We already have $7,500 from your in-season donations and new pledges but need more support to get us to our goal.  Please email me at [email protected] if you can pledge and if we get enough, I will reply to all pledgers with information on how and when to make the donation to Park Spirit of Worcester, which as a 501(c) organization is tax-deductible.  Thank you for your support all season and hopefully you will be able to contribute to upgrading the experience for everyone in 2027!  Thank you – Phil Bolduc

New cross country trails at the Green Hill Park Golf course.

The Park Spirit of Worcester Nordic Ski Park was established in 2018 with funds from the Mass Department of Conservation and Recreation’s Recreational Trails Grant program.  Originally located at Elm Park and Newton Hill, for the 2025-2026 ski season operations were moved to Green Hill Park.

The Ski Park provides a free wintertime recreational opportunity for both classic and skate skiing in a beautiful, historic public space and is the only groomed, public-access cross-country ski venue in Central Massachusetts.

Trail grooming is done by Park Spirit volunteers and operating expenses are entirely funded by user donations.  We encourage skiers to donate $5-10 per use and appreciate the support of the Nordic skiing community that makes this possible.
