April 2025 – Park Spirit of Worcester through the Friends of Newton Hill have been awarded a grant of $5,400 by Nathaniel Wheeler Trust, Bank of America, N.A., Trustee in support of the Newton Hill Park Ash Tree Initiative founded by Paul Popinchalk.  The funding will support the inoculation of the ash trees within the park that are in decline due to the emerald ash borer.

The work will take place late spring or early summer.
