Green Hill Nordic Ski Park Update Feb 13th
Hello Skiers – Rick and Paul groomed this morning and reported excellent conditions for skate and classic skiing. We may be able to squeeze in another grooming Sunday morning, but conditions should hold up pretty well for the next several days regardless. Hope to see you out there! Send questions to [email protected] and donate on […]
Nordic ski park update
Hello skiers – the trails were groomed today by Paul and Rick (thank you guys!) and are reported to be in good shape for classic and skate skiing. Some of you has inquired if dogs are allowed and I am checking with the Parks Department about their policy. Follow on Instagram @greenhillnordicskipark for trail condition […]
Ski Park Update
Hello skiers – sorry for the delayed post; Paul Bertler and I were away over the last four days doing the Canadian Ski Marathon west of Montreal in the Mont Tremblant/Montebello area. After Saturday’s storm Rick and Russ rolled/packed the course but got badly stuck in a 4 foot snow drift. Rick and Paul are […]
Nordic Ski Park Update Feb 4th
Trails were groomed again today – thank you Paul and Rick! – and Paul reports excellent classic and skate conditions. Paul and I will be away this weekend at the Canadian Ski Marathon but Rick may groom again; I may or may not be able to post an update from Canada but the conditions should […]
Ski Park Update Feb 2nd
FYI Skiers – Paul Bertler and Rick Miller will groom today between 10-11am. Conditions should hold up pretty well all week and I anticipate that in addition to continued good classic skiing, the skate skiing will be much better after today’s grooming.
Green Hill Nordic Ski Park Update
Hello skiers – owing to the difficulty of grooming in deep snow with the snowmobile we are going to pivot and bring the John Deere Gator with snow tracks up from Newton Hill on Saturday morning, after which we will groom. The trails should be ready by 12:30-1:00. Send questions or comments to me at […]
Ski Park Grooming Update
Hello skiers – Paul Bertler and I groomed today and boy was it a doozy – 5hrs instead of 2hrs – and getting stuck too many times to count. This is why the ski areas use snow cats! The trail isn’t perfect as it was hard to keep the snowmobile on the track in such […]
Nordic Ski Park Update
Good morning skiers! Since we are getting another 3″ of snow this afternoon, we are going to groom tomorrow morning so that we only have to do it once (plus today’s focus will be on digging out at home). It should be fully ready by 11:00am tomorrow but classic skiers could start at 10:00am on […]
Green Hill Nordic Ski Park Update
Hello skiers – we groomed yesterday morning and although it was cold, conditions were excellent yesterday and this morning. Today I skied until the snow piled up and I couldn’t find the track anymore… on the golf course it doesn’t take much to reach whiteout conditions. If the storm pulls out as expected tomorrow morning, […]
Ski track condition update
Hello Skiers – we got about 4″ of great fresh snow overnight but sadly I have to work and won’t be able to groom until Saturday morning. I should be done by 10:00am and I anticipate the conditions will be excellent as it will be cold again by then.
