Hello skiers – another epic storm to groom!  Our John Deere Gator was better than the snowmobile but it still isn’t a true snow cat and we got stuck a few times, plus its narrow tracks leave ruts in the trail.  We did our best to find the hard pack under the drifted snow and by the end of the day were finally able to switch from the roller to the groomer and lay down some nice tracks.  It is not a good, hard, smooth pack for skate skiing, but it is passable, and it is excellent for classic skiing.  We aim to groom again Thursday morning, at which time things should be pretty smooth all around.  Send questions or comments to me at [email protected] and donate on this website to support our operating expenses.  The Gator transmission is laboring under the strain and it is going to need a major servicing after the ski season wraps up.  I want to express my appreciation to all of you who have been contributing for your amazing support – 94 donors have given a total of $1,900 so far, which hopefully will cover gas + routine servicing + any necessary repairs.  Thank you!!
